Born 23 September 1972 in Naujoji Akmenė.

In 1990 – graduated 2^nd secondary school of Naujoji Akmenė.
In 1994 – graduated from Šiauliai Polytechnic Faculty of Kaunas University of Technology. Acquired the qualification of electronics engineer.
In 1999 graduated from the Law Faculty of Vilnius University and acquired the lawyer’s qualification.

From 1996 to 1999 – Chief Investigator of the Investigation Division under Akmenė District Police Office.
From 1999 to 2001 – Prosecutor of the District Prosecutor’s Office of Akmenė Region.
From 2001 to 2010 – Chief Prosecutor of the District Prosecutor’s Office of Akmenė Region.

 

 
By the Decree of 3 June 2010 of the President of the Republic of Lithuania Darius Valys was appointed the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Lithuania from 15 June, 2010.

By the Decree of 15 June 2010 of the President of the Republic of Lithuania Prosecutor General Darius Valys was granted the qualification degree of the Chief State Adviser for Justice.
